Guilty Pleasure Tuesday

Birch Juice Blog

For as long as I can remember, I've never been able to avoid checking out beauty and skincare products at the drug store. I know that seems like typical female behaviour but I am so guilty of it. Whenever someone suggests a trip to the drug store I always insist on accompanying them, because I know that I'll be able to browse my favourite stuff.

The worst part is that 99% of the time I don't need anything there, I'm just going in to "look". But that doesn't stop me from browsing every single skin care shelf and all of their makeup offerings. I guess I'm even guiltier of that at Sephora, because I could go in there everyday and I wouldn't ever have enough of it. I test out all of their tinted moisturizers on my hands, eventually I run out of room and continue on my arms.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but the fact that my bloglovin is always filled with beauty blogs that suggest great products doesn't help at all. I guess it's just going to be a vicious cycle!

  1. Oooh, I had that problem. I'd always want to go to CVS or Target and look at the beauty section and sure enough I'd always buy something. Now that I'm trying to spend less I just skip the beauty and clothes section... so sad I know, but it helps... I spend a lot less and save more now :)

  2. I totally do that too. Makeup is just one of those super fun things I really love. It's kind of silly because I don't even wear that much makeup anymore besides eyeshadow & eyeliner, plus I'm moving towards more natural beauty stuff since living in Asia made my skin more sensitive, but I still like looking at the new products and colors.

  3. You're so right, makeup is just so fun to play around with! I even look at stuff I don't use, but the whole process of testing it on my hands is exciting :P
